EAT Like a Local

Dinner

(1) The Grill at Antler’s Inn – 26125 State Highway 189, Twin Peaks, CA.

A personal favorite for its mountain vibe, delicious food, and solid cocktails. A sushi bar located on the top floor is open select nights. Good for date nights or an early dinner with kids.

(2) Stone Creek Bistro – 26824 State Highway 189, Blue Jay, CA

Excellent food with a reasonable wine list (no spirits / cocktails). Nice ambiance, but perhaps less “mountainy” than other spots. Great for a date night.

(3) Spade & Spatula –  27214 State Highway 189, Blue Jay, CA

Fantastic burgers and other upscale pub fare. Good beer selection and reasonably creative cocktails. Good for families, and open for lunch and dinner.

(4) Lakefront Tap Room – Lake Arrowhead Village (lower level)

You came up for the lake, right? Sit lakeside at the window or on the dog-friendly deck outside and take in the water while enjoying draft beers, craft cocktails, and an array of well-made bar food. Veteran move: opt for tots.

(5) Jettie’s Waterfront Kitchen – Lake Arrowhead Village (lower level)

Similar to the Tap Room above, only with an upscale, diner vibe and an expansive menu you can get lost in. Located on the lower-level toward the far edge of town, it’s a 25-minute walk from the house along the ALA trail.

(6) LouEddies Pizza – 28561 State Highway 18, Skyforest, CA

World-famous pizza (for real) just up the hill in Skyforest. Sit on their beautiful, forested patio or opt for the tavern inside. Either way, you can’t lose. Don’t want to wait? Grab a ready-bake from their fridge and cook at home.

(7) Rosalva’s – 28575 State Highway 18, Skyforest, CA

In the mind for Mexican food? Find Rosalva’s authentic, homemade fare next door to LouEddie’s and sip some margaritas amongst the pines.

Breakfast & Lunch

(1) Belgian Waffle Works – Lake Arrowhead Village (lower level)

Looking for an Arrowhead staple with a robust breakfast menu? Head to Waffle Works across from the Queen dock, where a lakeside deck awaits.

(2) LuluBelle’s Bakery – 31621 Pleasant Dr., Running Springs, CA

About fifteen minutes from the house, you’ll find a quaint farmhouse-style eatery with a handful of indoor tables. LuluBelle’s may be the best breakfast in the area.

(3) Santiago’s Taco Shop – 27226 State Highway 189, Blue Jay, CA

Quick and easy Mexican food with a full bar and breakfast burritos!

(4) Rippin Bowls Poké and Açaí – Arrowhead Village (lower level)

If you’re looking for a quick, healthy lunch option, look no further than Rippin’ Bowls. For a true life hack, get your bowl delivered to the Brewery!
