Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Treehouse located?
Located in the Palisades area of Lake Arrowhead, CA, the Treehouse is within walking distance of Arrowhead Village, Cedar Glen, and the Marina. House steps lead directly to the ALA trail, where a 2-minute walk brings you to our favorite beach cove, perfect for building sand castles and swimming.
How many people does the house sleep?
The Treehouse has 3 bedrooms—2 kings and one queen—and 2.5 baths. The maximum number of adults permitted to stay is six.
Is there a hot tub?
A Nordic Retreat spa is located on the lower deck with views overlooking the lake. It comfortably accommodates four adults.
How close is the lake?
Pick up a stone and throw it! Or, walk down the stairs from the house, turn left, and walk about two minutes down the ALA trail to our favorite little beach cove.
Does the house afford lake access?
Yes! A lake pass will be waiting for you, which opens gates along the lake trail. Provide your name and email address one day prior to your arrival and we will submit the information to the ALA, who will send a waiver for your signature. Please see the ALA trail map to plan your routes!
Note: Please keep the lake pass with you while enjoying the lake. An ALA official in a red shirt may ask to scan it to ensure you’re registered. Unfortunately, if these procedures aren’t followed (as in, guests access the lake or lake trails without registration), the ALA will issue a hefty $1000 fine, which will be at the guest’s expense. Fortunately, it’s easy to avoid with advanced planning.
Where is the Lake Association office?
The ALA office is located at the Marina, 870 N State Hwy 173. You can park in their small lot or across the street and walk down their driveway to the office on the right-hand side. Their hours of operation are: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Saturday.
What’s the kitchen like?
The kitchen is well-appointed with a full-size oven and range, microwave, plates and utensils, pots and pans, and cooking/baking supplies such as cookie sheets, measuring cups, and more. There is a selection of teas and a drip coffee machine with coffee grounds. We try to keep basic essentials like oil on hand, but anything you need can be acquired at the grocery store in town, a short drive away.
Is there a Grill?
The BBQ is a Traeger. Use the pellets to fuel the fire for grilling. We appreciate you cleaning the BBQ after use to help keep it in great condition.
What if the power goes out?
When a storm rolls in or SCE cuts the power, our whole-house Generac generator automatically turns on to keep things running as usual.
What is your pet policy?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a subjective basis, so please inquire about your pet(s). If accepted, a pet cleaning fee will be assessed.
For your convenience, an enclosed dog run outside the main living area affords a place for your pets to relieve themselves, but guests are required to clean up after them. The neighborhood is wonderful for walking, as is the ALA trail that runs directly below the house. In order to maintain our standards of cleanliness, we ask that dogs not enter the lake, but if they decide to take a dip, please ensure they are thoroughly rinsed and dried before re-entering the house. Dogs must remain off the furniture. Guests are fiscally responsible for any damage their pets cause.
