Beaches
Lake Arrowhead access map. The green numbers correspond to entry gates. Find the closest street address by cross-referencing with the “New” column on the second page.
House Favorite: Two minutes down the ALA trail to the left, you’ll find a small, shaded cove colloquially known as Bob’s Beach. Enjoy a picnic, let the kids play in the sand, or take a swim in this protected cove.
Community Feel: Peninsula Park, located at the Marina, is a large, swimmable beach with bathrooms on location. Park at the Marina and walk across or park up the road close to gate 63 and take those stairs down to the beach. (note: this beach has some shade, but not much. You may want to bring your own!)
Activity: The beach by gate 7 has a volleyball net for those looking to play the day away. It’s walkable from the house (10-15 minutes) and is rarely busy.
Explore: There are little coves and beaches all along the ALA trail, so if you’re feeling adventurous, pick s gate and choose a direction!
Brewery
Lake Arrowhead Brewing offers a great beer selection and ample seating. On the patio, Edison lights strung over picnic tables and chairs create a vibe that will have you staying put for another round.
Hiking
Note: You will need to purchase an Adventure Pass when parking at / using state forests for recreational use. Please visit this website for additional information.
Will Abell Memorial Trail – A 2-mile, mostly-forested loop with a view of Lake Arrowhead. Park at Arrowhead Ridge Picnic Area off Grass Valley Road.
Massage
With an in-home service option, we suggest contacting Mountain Massage at (909) 645-0249. You may also visit their office in Skyforest, across the street from LouEddie’s and next door to LittleBear Bottleshop!
Picnics
Cedar Glen Fine Foods is close to the house. The deli makes great sandwiches and has all the fixings for a great picnic! Another option is Jensen’s, an upscale grocery store in Blue Jay that has everything you need for a DIY special.
Racquet Sports (Tennis / Pickleball)
Rim of the World High School (27319 Rim of the World Hwy) maintains 6 tennis courts open to the public. If Pickleball is more your speed visit MacKay Recreational Park (321 Rouse Ranch Rd).
